Temple Beth Or Sisterhood is the local affiliate of Women of Reform Judaism – an international organization. Our extremely active Sisterhood is multi-faceted and intergenerational, welcoming all women.

Sisterhood assists our entire Temple family through our educational, recreational, and social action programs. Our dues and fund raising projects make it possible to give gifts and donations as well as to provide service to our temple, the religious school, b’nai mitzvah students, confirmands, the youth group, including sponsoring numerous Oneg Shabbats and receptions.

We perform tzedakah including good deeds, acts of kindness and charitable donations that are consistent with the core concepts of Judaism. Our Caring Committee reaches out to all Temple members. We help visit the sick and comfort mourners. We join with our Temple’s Social Action Committee to offer hospitality to strangers by sheltering and feeding the homeless in a dignified manner. Our tzedakah reaches people of all races and religions that are hurting and in need of help.
