Life Cycle Events

Temple Beth Or is an extended family, and like any family, we are excited to be part of the life cycle events of our congregants. At every stage of life, from its beginning to its end, the clergy are available to assist. What do you do? What kinds of ceremonies are available to mark these occasions? We are here to help you with these and other questions.

We encourage you to read over the resources on this webisite.  In many cases, we’ve developed entire guides for how to approach events such as births, b’nai mitzvah/confirmation, conversions, marriage or bereavement.  Of course, nothing can equal the involvement of a clergy person, helping to answer your questions.

Often, in addition to guidance on Jewish tradition, we are asked to customize certain life cycle rituals. We are happy to work with our members in any way to make their milestones significant and memorable. If you have a question about a life cycle, minor or major, or would like the temple clergy to guide you through such as milestone, please contact Rabbi Fabricant at or Cantor Silverberg at
